I’m trying out new software for the reputation manager to be more effective. This will be deleted soon enough. There are 10 categories that each person is rated on. Each rating should be centered around the quality the person is most known for. For instance, if a person is known for their fight for all things Green; you should rate their level of knowledge, skill, leadership, vision, desire, emotion, finance, socialability, environment, and altruism specifically to that. To break this down further, a person [again, who is known for being a Green activist] should be rated on their “Knowledge” of everything having to do with the Green movement such as policy and programs, even other people who are in the sector. Their “Skill” rating should reflect your perception of their ability to utilize that knowledge to effect policy or people around them. “Leadership” ratings reflect how a person can manage a chosen environment towards a goal or do they become a wallflower and let others make the decisions. Their “Vision” rating is that of their ability to manifest their strategic and tactical plan; this usually involves a mixture of a persons knowledge, skill, and leadership but also involves an intangible element that can’t necessarily be defined. Their “Desire” rating should quantify what you believe is their level of devotion, or want, for a certain outcome. Do they “really want” the world to be greener, or do they come across as pandering to the public to gain something? The “Emotion” rating is one that concerns how they effect you; at an emotional level. Do they speak to the heart and is it credible? The “Finance” rating focuses on their ability to make possible through funding whatever it is they desire, do they manage the funds well, or are they completely unfocused and/or incompetent when it comes to money? Their “Socialability” rating should focus on how they interact with people in person. Are they good with people or do they come across as hostile, commanding, and “ruling with an iron fist”? The term is a merging of Social and Ability of course, and works well in the reputation manager. A persons “Environment” rating, although in this case might be one in the same, should focus on how hey impact their environment; not just the physical earth, but other businesses, other people. Do they come across as being responsible for the world around them in a positive or negative fashion? And finally, the “Altruism” rating, which should quantify what you think the person is acting out for. Are they doing it for the greater good and thus, are altruistic, or do they do what they do so they gain personally, politically, financially, or any other way than simply for the joy it brings to others.
To the Right you’ll see those qualities and the quantities submitted for a sample person. Right now the rating system is from 0-5, I might change that to 0-10 before the launch however to give it greater granularity. We’ll see. If you have a person you want in the system during the testing, feel free to contact me.
And that is it folks, this is MobWatch, the Online Reputation Manager. Once a person is put into the system, anyone can rate and review another person, their online personality, their real world persona, or both. I’ll open the doors later this month for public submissions. Until then, I’ll be inserting people manually into the system and then everyone can rate and review.
Thanks for stopping by.
